Kia ora koutou,
The NZHA Executive are continuing to plan for the Association’s 2021 Conference, and we hope to open the registration portal very soon. In the meantime, this is just a short notice detailing an extension to the paper submission deadline and a reminder that nominations for the 2021 NZHA Prizes need to be made soon.
Conference Paper Submissions
We have been very impressed and excited by the paper abstracts submitted thus far. In order to allow a bit more time for submissions to be finalised, we have decided to extend the deadline from 30 June until 31 July 2021.
Please see this amended Call for Papers for further details on the submission process.
NZHA Prize Nominations
Many nominations have already come in for the 2021 NZHA Prizes, but we still hope to receive more by the 30 June deadline. The three prizes for which we are seeking nominations are:
- The W.H. Oliver Prize – For the best book on any aspect of New Zealand history
- The Erik Olssen Prize – For the best first book by an author on any aspect of New Zealand history
- The Mary Boyd Prize – For the best article on any aspect of New Zealand history published in a refereed journal
Individuals can nominate their own books and articles for consideration or put forward the work of other scholars. Please see the Call for Nominations for further details.
