University of Auckland: Expressions of interest for the 2021 History Innovation Fund Post Doctoral Research Fellow

The School of Humanities: Te Pokapū Aronui Tāngata invites expressions of interest for the 2021 History Innovation Fund Post Doctoral Research Fellow.

This fellowship offers early career support for an outstanding recent PhD graduate in history, enabling them to undertake research and writing for publication, whilst also providing some teaching experience. The successful applicant will be accommodated       within the History discipline and have access to UOA’s library resources.

Applications are encouraged from within New Zealand and from those who are living overseas and would use the Fellowship to return to New Zealand to continue their research careers. The applicant will be required to specify the nature of their chosen research project and their expected outputs. This will form a critical part of application process. Preference will be given to projects connected with Aotearoa New Zealand and /or Māori history.

Running for the 2021 academic year (March 1-November 30)the Fellow will be remunerated at the University’s Research Fellow 1 rate. Applicants are required to have had their PhD conferred no more than four years before the application closing date. (So conferred on or after 01 January 2016.)
