The 2016 New Zealand Festival (26 Feb – 20 March) is bringing three exceptional shows to Wellington that each approaches World War I commemorations in a unique way. Premiering at the Festival, Brass Poppies is a ground-breaking new chamber opera about the battle of Chunuk Bair, while the world music collaboration in No Man’s Land brings together descendants of opposing forces in WWI. The New Zealand premiere of Relict Furies is a musical evocation of the grieving widows and sweethearts of the war.
