Victoria University of Wellington is working with the Auckland Museum to offer a Summer Scholarship to a 300 or 400 level student to work on a project entitled ‘Life, Death and Disease in 1860s Wartime Auckland’. The successful scholar will use the collections of the Auckland Museum to examine the impact of war on the growth of Auckland city and province; on the lives of those living in the town (and especially in Albert Barracks), and relations between civilian and military societies. Apply here by 16 September.
