Associate Professor Antonia Lyons speaks in Hamilton | 7pm Thursday 9 October | Waikato Musuem
Young adults regularly engage in heavy drinking episodes, use social networking technologies frequently, and appear to be obsessed with image and celebrity. Recent research has shown the meanings, risks and pleasures of these practices vary considerably by ethnicity, gender and class. In this Ten by Ten talk, Associate Professor Antonia Lyons (Massey University) will provide an overview of the current research and consider the implications on future alcohol policies and health promotion strategies.
