A message from NZHA President, Professor Tom Brooking

Dear NZHA members,

This is just a brief report to let you know two things:

1. The Department of History at the University of Canterbury will take on the role of NZHA host for 2014-15. Planning is currently underway at Otago to ensure that the transition will be as smooth as possible for Canterbury.

2. On 29 August I will travel to Wellington on behalf of the NZHA to attend a meeting of the Humanities & Social Science Vice President’s Advisory Panel of the Royal Society of New Zealand. As your representative, please email me with any matters that you think should be raised at the meeting. I will report on the outcomes afterwards.
