Dame Claudia Orange made Companion by Royal Society Te Aparangi

Dame Claudia Orange has been elected a Companion of the Royal Society Te Aparangi ‘for her long and distinguished record of service to the humanities’ and particularly ‘her work to improve public awareness, knowledge and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi, of New Zealand biography, and of the role of museums in telling “our nation’s story”.’
