Two Autumn Events in Wellington-Whanganui-a-Tara, 7-8 April 2017 – dates for your diaries!
Members and friends of NZHA are invited to two events being hosted by the History Programme, Victoria University of Wellington – Te Whare Wånanga o te Upoko o Te Ika a Måui:
Friday 7 April Professor Lynn Abrams, Head of History, University of Glasgow, will be speaking about her current research on mid-twentieth century Scottish life stories in a public lecture in the early evening.
Followed by:
Saturday 8 April a day symposium focused around the work of Fulbright Visitor Professor Anna Clark, University of Minnesota. Anna Clark will be at VUW from February to May working on ideas of individualism and collectivism across the British Empire, c.mid-19thC to early 20thC. New Zealand is one of her case studies. We are interested to hear from people who would like to participate in the symposium.
