Call for Papers: Treaty 175: The Treaty on the Ground
The 175th anniversary of the Treaty of Waitangi gives an opportunity to reflect on its place in Aotearoa / New Zealand. A conference, organised by Massey University and the Auckland Museum, will take place in Auckland, 6-7 July, where a range of invited speakers will focus on changing understandings of the Treaty since the Second World War, how these have been implemented, and ask what vision we hold for the Treaty in the future.
A colloquium will be attached to this conference on 8 July to give new and emerging researchers the opportunity to present their own work on the Treaty for discussion among other new researchers and key note presenters from the conference.
Papers are invited from postgraduates and emerging researchers in all aspects of the Treaty: past, present and future. We invite you to take this opportunity to participate in this dynamic cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural discussion where you can build networks, consider aspects raised in the conference and share your research to others working on Treaty-related matters.
Details of the conference will be available from 12 May on the websites of Massey University and Auckland Museum, but we invite those interested in joining in the colloquium to submit abstracts now.
To submit an abstract for the colloquium or for further information please contact:
