The Department of Modern History, Politics and International Relations, Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia) will offer at least 6 full-time Research Fellowship positions commencing in 2016. Fellowships will be awarded on a competitive basis and will be fixed-term for three years. Sponsored applicants must have been awarded their PhD on or after 1st March 2012, or submit their thesis by 20th August 2015 (or make a convincing case for early career researcher status). It is important that there is a good fit between the research interests of applicants and sponsors. The staff in Modern History have research expertise in the following areas:

  • Biographic and Oral History
  • History of Ideas in Everyday Life
  • Public and Popular History
  • Histories of Gender and Sexuality
